Upcoming Events!
Welcome To
Gainesville Ecotours!
Founded in October 2012, Gainesville Ecotours provides guided interpretive environmental hikes in Gainesville and Northeast Florida! Along with hiking we work with local businesses to conduct tours, provide a guide, or plan nature outings for all types of local events such as environmental film festivals, Road Scholar nature weeks, university tours, county nature tours, and land trust nature tours. Our hikes range from wilderness hikes, urban ecotour hikes followed by cupcakes, lunch and/or beer/wine tastings, fitness hiking, nature photography workshops, geocaching and geocaching birthday parties for children, company retreat events, and homeschooling and scouts environmental education outings! There is so much nature in Gainesville - let us help you experience it or incorporate our natural beauty into your event!
Gainesville Ecotours is committed to helping people find, explore, and understand Florida's natural resources and wildlife, the "Old Florida," of north central Florida and Gainesville. By planning a guided hiking ecotour or helping plan your event, our company provides the route to find these areas of wildnerness in Gainesville's own back yard, allowing for a peaceful outlet, an environmental education opportunity, a chance for exercise in a natural setting, and a "wild" adventure. We are here to help fulfill Gainesville's motto of, "Where Nature and Culture Meet!"
